GentaVed Topical Spray is only for use on dogs.
Do not use on cats or other animals. GentaVed Otic Solution is for use
on dogs and sometimes cats. Do not use on other animals. GentaVed products
are not for human use. Not for any animal that it was not prescribed
to.
Read all manufacturer warnings and instructions

Use exactly as prescribed by your veterinarian.
Directions for GentaVed Topical Spray:
- Remove excess hair on affected
area.
- Clean infected lesion and surrounding
area.
- Spray area twice, holding the
bottle upright and 3 to 6 inches away from the skin. Each depression
of the sprayer delivers 0.7 mL of the medicated liquid.
- Apply 2 to 4 times per day as
prescribed for 7 days.
Directions for GentaVed Otic Solution:
1. Remove excess hair in the affected area. Clean
and dry external ear and ear canal when treating an ear infection in
dogs. Clean infected lesion and surrounding area otherwise.
2. Instill 3 to 8 drops in the affected ear twice
daily for 7 to 14 days as prescribed for ear infections.
3. Apply sufficient liquid to cover infected lesions
twice daily for 7 to 14 days as prescribed.
Storage:
Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Store bottles upright, tightly closed, between 36
and 77 degrees F.
It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent
with its labeling.
GentaVed combines two active ingredients, gentamicin
sulfate and betamethasone valerate, for dual-action treatment. Gentamicin
is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that kills bacteria causing infections.
It does so by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria so they cannot
grow or reproduce. Betamethasone is a corticosteroid with anti-inflammatory
effects.
GentaVed requires a prescription from your veterinarian.

GentaVed Topical Spray Ingredients (per mL): gentamicin sulfate equivalent to 0.57 mg gentamicin base, betamethasone
valerate equivalent to 0.284 mg betamethasone, isopropyl alcohol 163
mg, propylene glycol, methylparaben and propylparaben as preservatives,
purified water q.s.; hydrochloric acid may be added to adjust pH
GentaVed Otic Solution Ingredients (per mL): gentamicin sulfate equivalent to 3 mg gentamicin base, betamethasone
valerate equivalent to 1 mg betamethasone, hydroxyethylcellulose 1.0
mg, glacial acetic acid 2.5 mg, purified water 200 mg, ethanol 19%,
benzyl alcohol as preservative 9.4 mg, glycerin 300 mg, propylene
glycol q.s.

Keep this product out of reach of children and animals.
Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.
GentaVed Topical Spray is intended only for use
on dogs. GentaVed Otic Solution is for dogs only when used in the ear
and for dogs and cats when used topically on superficial skin lesions.
For external use only.
Use only on the animal to which this product was
prescribed.
Follow the specifications of the prescription.
CAUTION: Tell your veterinarian if your pet is pregnant or nursing.
Not for use in animals with a hypersensitivity to
listed ingredients. Seek emergency veterinary care for an allergic reaction.
Do not use in animals with any condition in which
corticosteroids are contraindicated.
Loss of appetite, weight loss, increased thirst
and urination, and SAP and SGPT enzyme elevations have been observed
in dogs following parenteral or systemic synthetic corticosteroids;
vomiting, diarrhea, and bloody diarrhea have been observed in dogs and
cats. Canine Cushing's Syndrome has been seen in dogs undergoing prolonged
or repeated corticosteroid therapy.
Otic solution not for use in dogs with perforated
ear drums. Do not use in working dogs, such as police, military, or
seeing eye dogs, as their hearing may become impaired.
If use of GentaVed Otic Solution results in impaired
hearing or vestibular dysfunction in your pet, discontinue application
and contact your veterinarian.
The susceptibility of the bacteria should be determined
prior to use. When used on unsusceptible infections, topical antibiotics
may contribute to overgrowth of bacteria, fungi, or yeast. In such instances,
consult your veterinarian for appropriate treatment.
Use of GentaVed Topical Spray for longer than 7
days may impair wound healing. Monitor animals on a longer regimen closely.
In the case of animal ingestion, contact your veterinarian
right away. In the event of human ingestion, contact your physician
or a poison control center immediately with the product package on hand.
Talk to your veterinarian before concomitantly using
any other medications or supplements.
