Directions for Nemex Tabs for
Small Dogs:
- Give 1 tablet per every 10 lbs. of body weight.
- Break scored tablets in half for accurate dosing
to 5-lb. increments.
- Place tablet near the back of your pet's mouth to encourage swallowing.
- Add tablet to a small amount of food if necessary.
- Do not withhold food before or after treatment.
Directions for Nemex Tabs for
Large Dogs:
- Give 1 tablet per every 50 lbs. of body weight.
- Break scored tablets in half for accurate dosing
to 25-lb. increments.
- Place tablet near the back of your pet's mouth to encourage swallowing.
- Add tablet to a small amount of food if necessary.
- Do not withhold food before or after treatment.
Directions for Nemex-2 Suspension:
- Give 1 tsp. (5 mL) per every 10 lbs. of body weight.
- Administer directly; most dogs willingly take the
caramel-flavored medication.
- Pour over a small amount of food if necessary.
- Do not withhold food before or after treatment.
Frequency of Use:
Worming with Nemex requires a single dose. Your veterinarian
should perform a fecal examination 2 to 4 weeks after treatment to determine
whether another dose is needed. Nemex cannot prevent reinfection. Nemex
does not work on larvae that are not in the intestines at the time of
treatment.
For complete control in puppies, treat once at 2,
3, 4, 6, 8, and 10 weeks of age. Treat puppies at increased risk of
infection again at 12 weeks.
Treat lactating bitches 2 to 3 weeks after whelping.
Monthly treatments protects against T. canis reinfection.
Monthly treatments are recommended for dogs in environments
where exposure to roundworms or hookworms is continuous.
Storage:
Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Store at controlled room temperature. Protect from
temperatures over 86 degrees F.
It is a violation of Federal
Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

Warnings:
Keep Nemex products out of reach of children and
animals. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.
Nemex and Nemex-2 are only intended for use in dogs.
Do not use in cats or other animals. Not for human ingestion.
Use as recommended by your veterinarian.
CAUTION: Nemex wormers are not effective
against larvae that are not present in the intestines at the time of
administration. They do not prevent reinfection.
Your veterinarian should perform a fecal examination
to determine whether the first treatment was successful 2 to 4 weeks
after administration.
Talk to your veterinarian about the necessity of
a monthly treatment plan.
Nemex and Nemex-2 are generally considered safe.
Tell your veterinarian if your pet has any medical conditions or is
taking any drugs or supplements.
If you observe any adverse reactions in your pet,
consult your veterinarian.
Not for use in sick dogs. If your pet acts or looks
ill, do not administer Nemex or Nemex-2.
Do not withhold food prior to or following administration.
