Fluocinolone acetonide, one of the active ingredients
in Synotic, is a corticosteroid that suppresses the body's inflammatory
response. It is coupled with dimethyl sulfoxide, or DMSO. This compound
is a synergist that increases the absorption rate of the flucinolone.
Synotic's propylene glycol and citric acid base provides some antimicrobial
action and drying effect while penetrating into the ear canal and evaporating
slowly for long-lasting relief.
Synotic Ingredients (per mL): fluocinolone acetonide 0.01% and dimethyl sulfoxide
60% in propylene glycol and citric acid

longer period than prescribed.

the effects of systemic products. Ask your veterinarian before concurrently
using any other medication or supplement.

upon application, especially with the presence of open skin.
Topical corticosteroid use in not generally associated

Decreased adrenal function, increased susceptibility
to infection, and weight loss may result from use, especially with overdose.
Increased thirst or urination, diarrhea, emesis,
weight loss, panting, or behavioral changes may indicate an overdose.
