Sulfamethoxazole and Trimethoprim Fish Antibiotics
Fish Sulfa and Fish Sulfa Forte are sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim antibiotics for ornamental and aquarium fish. Fish Pen pet meds are effective against gram-negative bacteria that cause a number of infections including aeromonas, pseudomonas, and the mysobacterial group.
Fish-Sulfa Forte provides antibacterial treatment
for ornamental, aquarium, and exotic fish. It works on many pathogenic
bacterial diseases, including those caused by areomonas, pseudomonas
genera, and the mysobacterial group. Fish-Sulfa Forte also treats susceptible
infections in other small animals, including some urinary tract, respiratory
tract, and skin infections.

Fish-Sulfa Forte is for exotic, ornamental, and aquarium
fish. Do not use in fish intended for human consumption. Use in other
animals only when prescribed by your veterinarian. Not for use in humans.

statements before using this product.
Use as recommended by your veterinarian.
Directions for Use in Fish:
- Add 1 tablet per 40 gallons of water into the aquarium.
- Make a partial water change in between treatments.
- Use once daily for no less than 5 and no more than
10 consecutive days.
- Discontinue administration if no improvement is seen
within 5 days.
- Eliminate harmless yellowing of the water with 20%
water changes and use of a charcoal filter until the color is gone.
Directions for Use in Cats and
Dogs:
- Administer 7 to 14 mg per pound of body weight orally
every 12 hours as prescribed by your veterinarian.
- Complete the prescribed course of treatment. Signs
and symptoms of an infection can disappear before the bacteria are fully
eliminated.
Frequency of Use:
Administer Fish-Sulfa Forte to fish one time per
day for 5 to 10 days. Administer it to cats and dogs twice daily, every
12 hours, or as prescribed by your veterinarian.
Storage:
Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Store Fish-Sulfa Forte at room temperature between
59 and 86 degrees F.
It is a violation of Federal
Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

(per tablet): sulfamethoxazole 800mg, trimethoprin
160mg

animals. Do not use or store in or near open flame or heat.
Fish-Sulfa Forte is only intended for use in ornamental
and aquarium fish. Do not use in fish intended for human consumption.
Use in other animals only when prescribed to do so by your veterinarian.
Not for use in humans.
Follow package instructions and your veterinarian's
directions.
CAUTION: Do not use in Dobermans.
Not for use in any animal with a sensitivity to sulfonamides.
Do not use Fish-Sulfa Forte in a tank for less than
5 days or for more than 10 days.
If improvement is not seen in fish within 5 days
of use, discontinue administration and consult your veterinarian.
