other active ingredient, is a synthetic corticosteroid that reduces
inflammation and itchiness associated with an infection when applied
topically.

When given to animals during the final trimester
of pregnancy, oral and parenteral administration of corticosteroids
may induce the first stage of parturition and may trigger premature
parturition followed by dystocia, fetal death, retained placenta, and
metritis. In addition, dogs given corticosteroids during pregnancy have
produced offspring with cleft palate, deformed forelegs, phocomelia,
and anasarca.
Systemic and parenteral use of synthetic corticosteroids
in dogs have produced SAP and SGPT enzyme elevations, loss of appetite,
weight loss, diarrhea (with and without blood), vomiting, and increased
thirst or urination as side effects. Canine Cushing's syndrome has been
seen with prolonged or repeated steroid therapy.
GenOne is generally well tolerated when used as prescribed.
If you notice any adverse reactions in your dog, consult your veterinarian.
Your veterinarian should determine whether the bacteria
causing your pet's infection is susceptible to gentamicin before prescribing
this product. Use of a topical antibiotic on non-susceptible bacteria
can cause the infection to become worse. If your dog's infection does
not appear to be improving within a few days, consult your veterinarian.
Application for more than 7 consecutive days may
impair wound healing. Monitor pets closely during prolonged administration.
If your pet ingests this product, contact your veterinarian
right away.
In the event of human ingestion, contact a physician
or poison control center immediately with the product label on hand.
Talk to your veterinarian before using other medications
