Safe-Guard Canine Dewormer removes tapeworms, roundworms,
hookworms, and whipworms in dogs. Unlike many other wormers effective
against multiple types of intestinal parasites, this medication contains
only one active ingredient, making it safer and rarely a cause of side
effects.

Safe-Guard is only for use in dogs and puppies at
least 6 weeks old. Do not administer to cats or other species. Not for

Use as directed by your veterinarian.
Directions:
- Weigh your dog to make an accurate dosing determination.
- Add dose to wet food or slightly moistened dry food.
Watch to ensure your pet consumes the full dose.
- Give one 1-gm pouch daily for 3 consecutive days
to dogs weighing up to 10 lbs.
- Give one 2-gm pouch daily for 3 consecutive days
to dogs weighing 11-20 lbs.
- Give one 1-gm pouch and one 2-gm pouch daily for
3 consecutive days to dogs weighing 21-30 lbs.
- Give one 4-gm pouch daily for 3 consecutive days
to dogs weighing 31-40 lbs.
- Give one 1-gm pouch and one 4-gm pouch daily for
3 consecutive days to dogs weighing 41-50 lbs.
- Give one 2-gm pouch and one 4-gm pouch daily for
3 consecutive days to dogs weighing 51-60 lbs.
- Give two 4-gm pouches daily for 3 consecutive days
to dogs weighing 61-80 lbs.
- Use the appropriate combination of pouches in dogs
weighing more than 80 lbs. to achieve the recommended daily dose of
22.7 mg per pound of body weight. Pouches contain 222 mg per gm.
Frequency of Use:
Safe-Guard doses are administered once daily for
3 consecutive days. Successful treatment requires completing this regimen.
Ask your veterinarian about an appropriate deworming
schedule for your location and your dog's typical activities.
In general, deworm weaned pups at 6, 8, 10, and 12
weeks of age. Treat the dam at the same time as her pups. It is recommended
that dogs over 6 months old be dewormed at least twice per year.
Storage:
Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Store Safe-Guard at room temperature, between 59
and 86 degrees F.
It is a violation of Federal
Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

Safe-Guard Canine Dewormer is only intended for use
in dogs and puppies over 6 weeks of age. Do not use in younger dogs
or other animals. Not for use in humans.

Failure to administer the appropriate dose once daily
for 3 consecutive days will prevent successful deworming of dogs.
CAUTION: The same intestinal parasites
that infect your dog can infect or pose health risks to other animals
and humans. Talk to your veterinarian about proper hygiene and other
preventative measures.
Not for use in a sick puppy or dog.
Side effects are rare, but may include emesis or
diarrhea.
Consult your veterinarian before administering any
other drugs or supplements during your dog's treatment with Safe-Guard.
Safe-Guard is only effective against Taenia tapeworm species; if you continue
to see tapeworm segments in your dog's stool after treatment, contact
your veterinarian.
This product is safe for use in pregnant dogs. Consult
your veterinarian if your dog is nursing or intended for breeding.
Seek emergency veterinary care for an allergic reaction.
Some signs include hives, itching, rash, difficulty breathing, facial
swelling, sudden-onset diarrhea, vomiting, and shock.
