Enisyl-F is for cats with the feline herpes virus (FHV-1). Do not
administer treats or paste to other animals. Not for use in humans.
Do not allow children to handle or administer Enisyl-F.
Review all manufacturer directions and warnings prior to use.
Doses vary; talk to your veterinarian about how best to use Enisyl-F
in your cat. It is recommended that your veterinarian perform an examination
before beginning the regimen.
Enisyl-F Treats Directions:
- Hand-feed 5 treats per day, for a daily total of 250 mg L-lysine,
to your cat for routine control of feline herpes virus.
- Increase the daily dosage to 10 treats, for a total of 500 mg L-lysine,
during a herpes flare-up.
Enisyl-F Oral Paste Directions:
- Give cats
one to two 1-mL pumps, for a dose of 250-500 mg L-lysine, twice per
day as recommended by your veterinarian.
- Give kittens
one 1-mL pump, for a dose of 250 mg L-lysine, twice per day, or as recommended
by your veterinarian.
- Secure the
cap tightly over the pump after administration.
- Consult
your veterinarian about dosages during a flare-up of feline herpes virus.
- Administer
paste directly into your cat's mouth, put it on the nose or paw, or
add it to food.
Frequency of Use:
A typical Enisyl-F treats regimen consists of one dose administration
per day. A standard Enisyl-F paste regimen consists of two dose administrations
per day.
Storage:
Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Store in controlled room temperature. Keep the paste cool.
It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product
in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
The active ingredient in Enisyl-F is the amino acid L-lysine. It inhibits
the reproduction of viruses and enhances immune system function to combat
the symptoms of feline herpes virus (FHV-1). Supplementation with this
amino acid has been shown to lessen the duration and severity of breakouts
and to prevent occurrences.
Enisyl-F is available over the counter.
Enisyl-F (L-Lysine)
Enisyl-F treats are sold in 180 g packages of 50 mg L-lysine treats.
Enisyl-F paste is sold in 100 mL canisters (250 mg L-lysine per mL),
which may be purchased individually or in packs of 3 or 6.
